    Icon A5 vs Searey

Back in 2019 Flying Magazine did an in-depth comparison between the Icon A5 and Searey.

    Their conclusion:

In truth, the A5 is the superior airplane, and it isn’t even close. It looks better, it flies better, and it’s built better. It also costs more, and therein lies the dilemma for buyers. If money was no object, the A5 is the toy you’d want to own. Otherwise, the Searey is the one you’ll happily settle for.

Any one have any personal experience with both brands?

I have flown both. IMHO the Icon flies like a sports car compared to the SeaRey. The SeaRey reminded me of flying a large transport style aircraft that were not fly-by-wire. That being said, I know that on the SeaRey there is an updated aileron available compared to the older style I flew. But wouldn't it be nice to make all sorts of mods on the Icon as if it were an experimental.
