Tired of my headsets eating batteries

I think it was Marcus that posted quite a while ago that he had rigged up a LEMO jack from the usb outlet to power his Bose headsets. Alas my headsets have gen aviation plugs so I didn't have that option but I just got sick and tired of going through batteries.

Soooooooo......I looked and looked for a solution and found this on Amazon: DLOUP 2in1 USB Power 3V AA Battery Eliminators https://a.co/d/0MSKO1s

Works well so far and powers both headsets from the one USB plug. I did have to cut a small notch into the battery cover for each headset for the wires to exit the battery compartment - but well worth it. I'm gonna carry a few AA batteries for a while for testing as a backup but for 5 bucks total cost this was a great mod.

That's an interesting alternative, even if it adds yet another cord set to tangle up. For the occasional $2 cost to swap out two batteries, that's more work that it's worth to me, but at at least there is a third option to the "disposable vs. rechargeable" battery choice.
