SD: Inspect fuel pump (SD-101419 REV A)

Rotax Aircraft Engines has issued an Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) requiring: the inspection of the dual fuel pump assemblies Rotax part number 889697 serial numbers 18.0500 up to 19.2699 (inclusive) and if the fuel pump is affected, replacement of the fuel pump. Rotax issued this bulletin due to a deviation in the manufacturing process of the electric fuel pump where a malfunction of the fuel pump may occur. Possible effects might be rough engine running, unusual operating behavior, and possible power reduction or engine stoppage. As such ICON aircraft is issuing this Safety Directive with a requirement to replace the fuel pump assembly if necessary, prior to next flight.
