Annual/200hr underway
My plane is rolling through annual and some things came up that I wonder if it others have had same issue:
1. My mirrors on wing are blacken with reflective coating coming off
2. Slight (I mean slight) leak in coolant in engine bay
3. Leak up by fuel level indicator
4. A frayed wire found when inspecting landing gear.
Mandy has been very helpful with the warranty repairs!

I am at almost 500 hrs and 6 years and none of those things have occurred. Glad Mandy is there to help. She is fantastic.

I couldn’t use the tiny mirrors that came with the plane. I took a couple of 3" plastic convex mirrors, and trimmed them to fit both sides.

The plastic mirrors are a joke. Always have been, while working there i was so frustrated i bought the correct convex mirror in glass (there are two different radiuses) traced and cut them to shape with a final sand to fit the same shape and bonded them into ESN-3 they were beautiful and worked fantastic. I was pretty frustrated the company wouldn't try to got to production with those, but understood realities' that someone would have find a supplier that had the material and then cut them to shape that would fit in production environment to quality standards. I think I have maybe $25 and 1 hour of messing around on these.

Here is the latest-
actuator issue ruled as an oddity and ICON wants to take it apart to see if it a one off thing or fleet wide. Hopefully they will send a swap soon.
fuel leak (slight) is apparently a fleet wide issue and fix coming. Check your bilge bottom in center for fuel residue. Other planes use an easy tank sealant fix, so hopefully icon will follow fix will not take long.
Plane grounded since potential fumes in cockpit is not good. Odd I never smelt (or my wife), but glad it was caught during inspection. -

Erich - a bit confused here. Are you showing (and saying) that the landing gear actuator frayed the wires. Hard to tell what happened from the pic.
I had the mirrors replaced once under warranty - they discolored again within a year. So now it always try to fly with a wing-hang pin mounted camera and rely on it to be able to see (and zoom in on) the gear if necessary.
I thought you were going to say that your wife DID smell the fuel leak. My wife has found things and smelled things that I would have never found. She is a better preflighter than I am by far.
