ICON has been made aware that air entering the engine lubrication system could lead to potential failure of valvetrain components. Following the correct procedures when performing any installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on the engine has been shown to minimize the occurrence of this situation. Additionally, certain uncoordinated or unloaded flight maneuvers should be avoided as they can lead to air entering the lubrication system.
