Anyone out there able to comment on the new prop

Is anyone out there able to comment on what kind of difference the new propeller makes on their airplane. I would love some feedback. Jimmy is coming to do my annual in a month and I’m thinking of including the new prop and increased gross weight.

I have about 10 hours now on my 4-blade prop. Short answer: Buy it.
    - It is quieter for sure. Maybe the difference between an Iron Maiden concert vs a Tobey Keith concert.
    - I am getting +10 kts with it in fast cruise. (Your milage may vary)
    - Definitely a bit peppier getting off. I haven't measured. It isn't shockingly better, just a tad better.
    - Engine is running cooler with it. It comes with a new and improved carbon engine fan.
    - It's necessary to get the extra 60 pounds gross weight. But, it's only one piece of that puzzle.
    - Starting the engine. Old prop I had to add 3/4" of throttle when starting. 4-blade prop, just crack the throttle 1/8" or less to start to it, if more it will feel like starting it with a wide open throttle. I guess it's due to much lighter prop.
    - Lastly, it doesn't seem to get as dirty as the old prop from the exhaust. Maybe because its significantly thinner.

I gave my old prop to James to store in his shop, in case anyone needs it later.

You are raising the bar! I gave him my fuel pump and I thought that was great!

Stop using (leaded) avgas! 91 octane from the gas station won't do that.

I have gone through I think seven of them so far, through all the recalls, etc. I should just keep a stock of those on hand.

I HATE, HATE, my new fuel pumps. They sound like a herd of dying goats! Jimmy tells me all the new pumps are louder... Not happy about that...

I hope they’re not louder than the engine.

    Hello,

I am hoping to do my Gross Weight increase in May with my annual if Jimmy gets the props. Does anyone have a picture of the new Vortex Generators that are part of the STC?
