    Got my PPL in my Icon

    Well after one year (lots of work travel) of owning my Icon, I have completed my PPL. It was not easy finding a CFI in Eastern TN and a DPE willing to use it for my check ride but that is all behind me now... I am feeling quite happy!!!! It had been 22 years since I last flew my ultralight. I am enjoying my Icon more and more.

    I asked Ryan Hile to complete my Checkride. He was great. He is talking to Andy about becoming an IAFI. You may need to come to Knoxville!

    Congrats Michel! I did the PPL check ride in my Icon as well.... definitely the way to go!

    Edward Shipman ([email protected]) actually travelled to Austin for the check ride. Rate was reasonable and he was awesome. He is a United Captain and former seaplane commercial pilot....I highly recommend Ed if you're looking to get the PPL in your Icon.
