    SB: ICON Parachute System (IPS) Service Interval (SB-042123-A)

    ICON Aircraft has become aware of important information about the maintenance schedule on the BRS parachute installed on the A5. BRS Aerospace, manufacturer of the ICON Parachute System (IPS), has released updated guidance on the inspection and replacement intervals for both the parachute and the
    rocket.

    When the ICON Parachute System for the A5 was initially developed, BRS established the scheduled service interval for the parachute as 7.5 years and replacement interval for the rocket as 15 years. Now that BRS has better data on how the condition of this system as installed in the A5 ages over time, they have reset both the parachute inspection interval and the rocket replacement interval to 8 years.

    Make a logbook entry reflecting the updated IPS Service Interval date, as described below. This is mandatory to maintain airworthiness
