It was recently discovered that the Kevlar insulated, or spiral wrapped engine wire harness were not properly secured to the cable tie mounts near the intake plenum and throttle body. There is a specific installation that properly secures the wire harness to the engine, ensuring the wire harness remains wrapped during engine operations. Failure to have the insulated wire harness properly secured could lead to the Kevlar insulation or spiral wrap releasing from the wire harness, exposing the wire harness to engine heat and chaffing.
