I am going to downtown Miami tomorrow, and I figured why not take the Icon and use Miami Sea Plane Base (X44) instead of KOPF and sit in traffic for 45 minutes.

Then I checked the airport fees....

Ramp Fees: $150.00 per landing (GA) - Ok pricey but I can manage that.
Parking Fees: $150.00 for every hour or partial hour thereof, in excess of first hour, maximum parking of 3 hours
Tie Down Fee (emergency only): $1,500.00/day (in excess of first 4 hours). Ah no.

Someone once told me they really don't want GA seaplanes coming into X44, but they want FAA support so they can't simply go "private" and kick us out. These rediculous fees are their way of keeping us out. Im sure it is working well for them.

When we start our Icon A5 Swarms, when a beach is not available, we need a support vehicle to inflate a 3 or 5 plane "Star" inflatable dock for us to use (Maybe Icon Marketing?). Each one of those beach or star-dockings is an awesome opportunity for Icon to organize a little BBQ with "Selected and Pre-Qualified buyers" who want to talk to owners prior to signing.

After Laying out the 5 Icon Star Dock, It's obvious that it's not SUV transportable. Probably better for one or two "Fixed" places where Icon can get us to fly over once in a while (Florida and SoCal maybe). The Three plane dock looks transportable!
